Tour Description:

From Paraty there is a road that goes up the mountain towards a town in Sao Paulo state called Cunha. The Atlantic Forest at high altitude (just over 1000 metres) has a diversity of birds not found near the sea. Some species are entirely dependent on this environment.

Trail Difficulty:

Simple for all who can walk well. Tour can be adjusted based on the fitness of the participants.

• Early pickup at 6am from your accommodation and drive up the mountain towards Cunha for 40kms to an elevation of over 1,000 metres.

• Stop at various spots along the Marcela road to view the various bird species in this area.

• Return to Paraty in time for lunch.
