Highlights:

• Black-hooded Antwren (Formicivora erythronotos). One of the only places in the world you can see this bird. It was not seen for more than 100 years until it was rediscovered in 1987. It is found in only a handful of populations along the coast near to Isla Grande (this being one of them)

Tour Description:

Mambucaba is an hours drive towards Rio de Janeiro. Mambucaba is a historic village with a large number of birds including the Black-hooded Antwren.

Trail Difficulty:

Simple for all who can walk well. Tour can be adjusted based on the fitness of the participants.
