Overview:

A weekend in Rio de Janeiro is all it takes to fall in love with the Marvellous City. Dip your toes in the Atlantic waves; gaze at the green mountains and granite peaks behind. Waste no time in riding the cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain, and admire the views of Rio
from the statue of Christ the Redeemer on top of Corcovado Mountain. Afterwards it’s off to the jewel that is Paraty to experience the best it has to offer.

7 Nights

Day 1: Your Brazil Tour begins on arrival in Rio, where you will be met by your Brazil Adventure Tours guide who describes the Marvellous City to you during the journey to your hotel. Your first look at Rio comes from the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain after you ride the two cable cars to the 394m summit. This immediate view gives you an idea of the layout of the city, its beaches and the statue up on the mountain top. After descending you continue to your hotel between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. The afternoon is free to enjoy them, perhaps with a coconut or a caipirinha, with evening having lots of life in the bars and restaurants a block or two back from the beaches.

Day 2: Your second tour of Rio takes you to the top of Corcovado, the steep 710m high mountain topped by the 31m statue of Christ The Redeemer. The views from the base across the city, beaches, mountains, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, Guanabara Bay and the Atlantic Ocean are as spectacular as city views can be. You then drop through Santa Teresa and the Selaron Staircase to see the historic side of Rio, the Municipal Theatre and the grand buildings that date from the 19th Century and earlier. The modern Metropolitan Cathedral and the antique Arches of Lapa are two more of Rio's postcard sights. The afternoon and evening are free to relax

Day 3: In the morning, you will be picked up for the journey down the Costa Verde, Brazil's Emerald Coast and possibly its most spectacular coastal route. Private transfers can travel first along the Rio beaches and stop for lunch on the wild side of the city at Prainha and Grumari before continuing. Jungle-covered mountains tower up to your right and tropical islands dot the sparkling blue Bay of Angra dos Reis to your left. Beaches are also visible between the palm trees, and waterfalls tumble down the mountainsides. After checking in to your Paraty accomodation, you can spend the late afternoon exploring the old port town, with a guided walking tour of the historic centre.

Day 4: Day 4 starts early with an "off the beaten track" trip to jungle man Luis eco farm where you can see tropical birds and experience the Atlantic forest in all its beauty. His farm has pineapples, bananas, sugarcane , coffee as well as various fruits and roots you probably won't recognise. The views are amazing and its something you wouldn't experience normally. Afterwards its back to Jabaquara beach where you can enjoy the beach and possible activities like Stand Up Paddleboard else walk into town and further check out parts of the old town you would have seen the previous afternoon.
